Chaz Chambers
Professional drummer • composer • recording artist • educator • music & travel entrepreneur
I’m a Colorado-based musician whose work lives at the intersection of rhythm, recording, travel, and cultural exchange. I’ve toured professionally in the United States and internationally, performed more than 500 shows with Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey’s Red Unit, worked as a cruise-ship musician, released original music, taught drums, and built music-centered travel projects around the world.

Momentum — New Album in Progress
Planned for late 2026.
Momentum is the next chapter of my original music: a seven-song record moving deeper into ambient post-rock, indie alternative textures, orchestral color, guitar-driven atmosphere, and heavier moments. The songs circle around frustration, memory, distance, resilience, politics, and the struggle to keep moving forward when peace feels unfinished.

Drumming
Drums have been the center of my professional life for more than two decades. My background includes touring, production shows, cruise ships, rock and metal bands, studio work, sight-reading, remote recording, and hundreds of large-scale live performances. I was the final drummer for the Ringling Bros. Red Unit and remain a Vic Firth artist.
I’m available for selected live performances, studio sessions, remote drum tracks, and creative collaborations.
Lessons
I teach drummers who want practical musicianship, stronger time, better reading, more control, and a clearer path from practice room to real-world playing. Remote lessons are available, with limited in-person availability in the Denver metro area.
Music, Travel & Cultural Exchange
Years of touring and listening to music around the world eventually became another part of my work. I founded Havana Music Tours and Musical Getaways to build musician-informed cultural journeys that connect travelers with artists, venues, studios, festivals, neighborhoods, food traditions, and local history.
I also founded and help direct The CreatiVRole Project, a Colorado-based nonprofit supporting creative communities through practical, relationship-driven projects.

About Me

I started playing music at seven, spent my teenage years in working bands across the Southeast, graduated from Atlanta Institute of Music and Media in 2012, and built a career that has taken me from small clubs and studios to arenas, ships, festivals, and cultural projects around the world. The common thread has always been the same: curiosity, rhythm, and the belief that music can connect people who might otherwise never meet.
Recent Writing
I write occasionally about music, travel, creative work, and the places where those things overlap.
